David Dellacca joined Conner Prairie in late 2024 as the Director of Information Technology. This role is responsible for overseeing the entire organization’s technology infrastructure, processes and IT support staff. The director is the one ultimately responsible for all technology supporting business and exhibit functions.
David holds a Bachelor of Arts degree (education and media production) and Master of Science degree (information and communication sciences). He holds a K-12 educator license and a certificate of school building administration. Professionally, he was a high school principal and taught computer science and technology classes from elementary grades to the collegiate level. He has been a technology consultant, network administrator and business owner and has been published in an academic journal and served as an editor for a technology textbook.
David, his wife and four children have always lived in Indiana. Being active in their faith, parish and community is an important part of their lives and where they spend a good portion of their free time. Volunteering, movies, books, friends and family are at the top of the list for other free time choices. He has traveled to Canada, England, France and Germany. In high school, he was a state-finalist in springboard diving.
David’s time at Conner Prairie thus far has included the support of current and the growing use of technology in a variety of exhibits and locations across the grounds. As an example, he was part of the design and installation of technology used in a Promised Land as Proving Ground exhibit experience. A large amount of his time thus far has focused on collaborating in the design, planning and construction of the new advanced technology infrastructure of the Museum Experience Center, which is scheduled to open in early 2026.
David comes to Conner Prairie with a passion for leveraging the influence of technology systems, tools and processes to strengthen where possible the storytelling that happens every day on the grounds. Being a part of telling the whole story of our past to improve our future speaks to David’s core beliefs and he is excited to be a part of the bright future of Conner Prairie.
