At Conner Prairie, every guest has the opportunity to pursue knowledge and fun in a way that is tailored to them. This pursuit requires strong, dedicated leadership. Our Board of Directors oversees operations and engages community members in supporting the museum. Conner Prairie thanks these individuals who contribute their time and expertise.

Bill Luke

William Luke

Vice President, Midwest Generation, Duke Energy

William (Bill) Luke serves as vice president of Midwest Generation for Duke Energy. He oversees operations of the company’s regulated energy-generation stations in Indiana, Ohio, and Kentucky, including operations, maintenance, resource management, and environmental compliance. Bill has more than 30 years of power generation experience, including various leadership roles in operations, strategy, maintenance, startup, and commissioning. He has a Bachelor of Engineering degree from State University of New York Maritime College and received a Merchant Marine License from the U.S. Coast Guard. Bill and his wife, Christa, reside in Zionsville and enjoy traveling and attending the activities of their two children.

The Conner Prairie Foundation board of directors oversees the management of the museum's endowment and the land and structures of the museum, including the William Conner House.
